Set below Nahargarh hill, this walled enclosure is the royal cremation ground of the Kachwaha rulers of Jaipur. Each chhatri marks one maharaja, with Sawai Jai Singh II's the most elaborate.
Birdsong replaces traffic almost as soon as you pass the gate. Pale marble domes stand against dry hillside, with carving that repays close looking.
