The Vibe:Jaipur's grid plan, rebuilt as an arts centre.
Designed by Charles Correa and completed in 1986, this multi-arts centre is laid out on the Vastu Purusha Mandala - the same nine-square grid used to plan Jaipur in 1727. The architecture is the primary exhibit.
Red sandstone courtyards open into one another under open sky. Rehearsal sounds drift from the theatres into long, largely empty corridors.
