The Vibe:A working fortress, not a palace.
Built in 1726 above Amber to defend the palace below, this fort was the Kachwaha arsenal and treasury rather than a residence. It was never taken, and its cannon foundry supplied the kingdom.
Red sandstone ramparts run along the ridge with Amber visible far below. Wind and open ground replace the decorated enclosure of the palaces.
