CONNECTING TOSingapore
🦁 Singapore means "Lion City." A prince named it over 600 years ago after spotting what he thought was a lion.
🧜 The national symbol is the Merlion — half lion, half fish. Its statue stands at Marina Bay, spouting water from its mouth.
🏝️ Singapore is not just one island. It is made up of 64 islands!
🌧️ Rain falls somewhere on the island every single day of the year. Always pack a light rain jacket.
🦇 Singapore has the world's first night zoo — you ride a tram through dark forests spotting leopards and flying squirrels.
💧 The Rain Vortex at Jewel Changi Airport is the world's tallest indoor waterfall. It drops 40 metres from a glass roof.

🐟 Long ago, Singapore was a tiny fishing village called Temasek, surrounded by sea and thick rainforest.
-
🚢 Over time, traders and ships from all over Asia arrived. It became a busy port full of markets and warehouses.
-
🏙️ Today, Singapore is a modern city with towering skyscrapers, underground trains, huge gardens and beaches — all packed onto one small island.

INSIDER TIPS FROM
OUR EXPERTS
🎒 The 90-minute rule: Plan one big attraction per session (about 90 minutes), then take a break — an air-conditioned food court, a cold drink, or a quick splash at a water play area. Kids last longer and complain less.
🚆 Ride the MRT like a local: Singapore's train system is clean, fast and air-conditioned. Most major attractions sit right on an MRT line. It's quicker than taxis in traffic — and kids love tapping the card at the gate.
📓 Star-rating ritual: At the end of each day, ask your kids to rate every place they visited out of five stars and draw their favourite moment. By the end of the trip, you'll have a handmade travel journal to keep.
