Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary
The sanctuary wraps around the hill that carries Monsoon Palace, and the road to the palace runs through it. Panthers, hyena and jackal are recorded here, though sightings are rare and incidental. A three-kilometre climb through dry deciduous forest, cooler than the city and noticeably quieter.
