The Vibe:A hundred rooms, then ghoomar after dark.
Built in the eighteenth century for a Mewar prime minister, this haveli sits directly on Gangaur Ghat. Its hundred-odd rooms now hold costume, glasswork and household objects, and its courtyard stages the city's best-known folk show.
Daytime rooms are dim, mirrored and quiet, opening suddenly onto the lake. After dark the courtyard fills, and dhol and ghoomar skirts take over completely.
