A government crafts village west of the city, built as a working platform for artisans from Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Goa. Traditional huts from each region were reconstructed here rather than imitated.
Mud-walled huts sit spread across open ground with folk music drifting between them. Potters, weavers and painters work in the open, and the ground is dust underfoot.
