Full-Day Chorao Island Nature, Heritage & Cooking Experience
Chorao is Goa's largest island and holds the Dr Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary along its mangrove edge. The day runs six to seven hours, opening with a farm-fresh breakfast. A boat covers the mangrove backwaters, followed by a hike to a chapel five centuries old. Feni distilling is explained and tasted before a Goan lunch cooked with the hosts. - The mangroves around Chorao form the Dr Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, named after India's foremost ornithologist. - The chapel on the island's high ground dates back roughly five hundred years. - The feni segment covers distilling method and tasting, rare outside dedicated drink trails.
