Singapore is a small island-city, but your day-to-day feel changes a lot by area. Stay central and you’ll spend less time in taxis and more time eating, walking, and exploring.

Getting around is straightforward. The MRT and buses cover most visitor areas, and they’re safe and easy to use.

  The center (Marina Bay, City Hall, Bugis, Chinatown) is very walkable, but it’s hot and humid — you’ll still use the MRT for comfort.
