The Vibe:Actual forest, inside the city, with ruins in it.
A large tract of Ridge forest between Mehrauli and Vasant Kunj, left far wilder than Delhi's landscaped parks, with medieval ruins scattered through the scrub.
Dense canopy closes the traffic out within a few hundred metres. Peacock calls carry, and the air is noticeably cleaner than the road behind you.
- One of the largest surviving patches of Ridge forest inside the city
- Trails run for several kilometres through unlandscaped woodland
- Peacocks, parakeets and nilgai are regularly seen
- Rated 4.5 across more than 2,000 Google reviews

- 🧳 Solo: "Free, open early and rarely crowded — though stay on the main trails."
- 📸 Photographers: "Ruins in scrub, with light through canopy rather than over lawns."

Combine with Qutub Minar and Mehrauli Archaeological Park, both a short drive
Photography Tips
