Learn the ornate craft of Thai fruit and vegetable carving in this hands-on class. At Siam Carving Academy (near Sutthisan MRT), a master carver guides each student in transforming everyday produce into intricate floral designs and garnishes. Half-day classes cover basic techniques (e.g. carving rose shapes from tomatoes or cucumbers), while full-day classes go deeper and include a Thai lunch. The studio provides all tools (including traditional carving knives). By the end of class you take home your edible carvings – and your new carving knife – as a souvenir of this artistic culinary skill.

  • Taught by Master Carver Wan Werts, an internationally recognized Thai carving expert:contentReference[oaicite:5]{index=5}.
  • Each participant receives a Thai carving knife to continue practicing at home:contentReference[oaicite:6]{index=6}.
  • Classes are small (max 6) so each student gets personal instruction – many visitors call it “the highlight of my trip” and praise Wan’s patient teaching:contentReference[oaicite:7]{index=7}.
