CONNECTING TOBali

🌴 Bali is called the "Island of the Gods" because it has over 10,000 temples.

🐒 Wild monkeys live in forests right in the middle of town and they love stealing sunglasses.

🌋 Bali has two active volcanoes — Mount Agung is over 3,000 metres tall.

🎶 Music in Bali is played on a gamelan — a group of metal instruments that sound like bells ringing together.

👶 Most Balinese children are named by birth order — the first child is called Wayan, the second Made, the third Nyoman, and the fourth Ketut.

🍌 Bali grows more than ten types of bananas — some are tiny and super sweet.

  • 🧭 Long ago, Bali was a small island where farmers grew rice in stepped fields and fishermen sailed wooden boats.
  • 🏛️ Over time, Hindu kings from nearby Java brought temples, dances, and new traditions to the island.
  • 🛵 Today, it is a busy tropical island with beaches, jungle roads, and colourful ceremonies happening every day.

📸 Do the "monkey on my head" pose at the Monkey Forest Sanctuary — the macaques love to hop on visitors for a quick photo.

🎬Film a slow-mo splash at the bottom of a Waterbom Bali slide — water flying everywhere looks epic on camera. 🌾 Stand in the middle of the Tegalalang Rice Terrace steps and hold your arms out wide — the green layers go on forever behind you.

🐘Get a shot feeding an elephant a banana at Mason Elephant Park — they wrap their trunk right around your hand.

🎡 Do a spin on the teacup ride at Trans Studio Bali and film the world whirling around you.

🌅 Run along Sanur Beach at sunset — the flat sand and orange sky make a perfect silhouette video.

PARENTS FAQS

Best time for outdoor plans?

Mornings before 10am are coolest. Schedule outdoor attractions early, then shift to indoor or shaded spots (Trans Studio Bali, malls, shaded zoo areas) from midday to 3pm. Late afternoon works well again for beaches and temples.

INSIDER TIPS FROM
OUR EXPERTS

logo

⏱️ Use the 90-minute adventure rule: Short bursts of activity, then a cool, quiet break — a juice stop, a pool dip, or just shade time so kids reset happily.

logo

🚗 Make transport part of the fun: Hire a driver for the day and let kids pick the music. Between stops, they can spot temples, rice fields, and fruit carts from the window — Bali's scenery keeps them looking out, not at a screen.

logo

📝 Lock in the memories nightly: Ask kids to name their "Top 3 moments today" and let them draw or write one. By the end of the trip, they have their own travel journal.
