The Vibe:Five wildlife parks, one forest precinct
Rainforest north of the city holds five separate wildlife parks on adjoining land. Free shuttles connect them, so a day here can span open-concept savannah, river habitats, aviaries and nocturnal trails.
Birdcall carries across the reservoir at dawn. Trams hum along shaded roads, and the air stays several degrees cooler than downtown.

Insider Tips
Best Time: Arrive at opening. Animals are most active before the midday heat.
Hack: Buy the multi-park pass before you arrive; single-park upgrades on site cost more.
Hack: Check show and feeding times first, then build your route around them.
Hidden Gem: The east and west sites have different atmospheres; do not assume one visit covers both.
Note: Last entry is generally an hour before closing at each day park.
Photography Tips
Flash is prohibited at Night Safari and in several indoor habitats.
Open-concept enclosures mean fewer bars in frame than at conventional zoos.
Early morning light through the canopy is the best window of the day.
Bring a lens cloth; humidity fogs glass and optics quickly here.
