A ticket opens the neoclassical monument and the crypt beneath it in the Latin Quarter. The crypt holds the tombs of Voltaire, Rousseau, Hugo, Zola and Marie Curie. Foucault's pendulum swings under the central dome, tracing the rotation of the Earth. The building began as a church and became a secular mausoleum during the Revolution.
