London: Top Gastropubs in London

A Grade II-listed pub rebuilt in 1898 on Whitehall, just off Trafalgar Square. Co-founded by Brett Graham of The Ledbury, it sits at the top of the Top 50 Gastropubs list.

A restored early Victorian pub on Chelsea's King's Road, relaunched in 2021 by JKS Restaurants with culinary direction from two-Michelin-starred Kitchen Table's James Knappett. Oisin Rogers, Flat Iron founder Charlie Carroll and former Fat Duck chef Ashley Palmer-Watts opened this Denman Street pub in late 2023. The ground-floor bar is credited with pouring more pints of Guinness than any other pub worldwide. A privately owned Highgate Village pub close to Hampstead Heath, with two beer gardens and a daily changing menu posted online by 11:00. The owner Heath Ball was named Best Wine Pub at the 2016 Great British Pub Awards. Meat is supplied by Highgate Butchers, seafood by Flying Fish Cornwall. Sundays feature four roast options including 35-day dry-aged Aberdeen Angus.
