London : Royal Parks
The Royal Parks cover more than 5,000 acres of central and outer London and were once royal hunting grounds. This cluster groups the green spaces now managed for public use.
- Green Park: A triangle of lawns and mature trees between Buckingham Palace and Piccadilly.
- Greenwich Park: A hilltop park with the Royal Observatory and views across the Thames to Canary Wharf.
- Hyde Park: A central park with the Serpentine lake, Speakers' Corner, and concert venues.
- Kensington Gardens: The former private gardens of Kensington Palace, with the Albert Memorial and Italian Gardens.
- Regent's Park (and Primrose Hill): Formal gardens, London Zoo, an open-air theatre, and wide city views from the hill.
- St James's Park: The oldest Royal Park, with a lake, pelicans, and sightlines to Buckingham Palace.
- Bushy Park: A large park next to Hampton Court, with free-roaming red and fallow deer.
