GOA : Morjim Beach
The Vibe:River mouth, turtles and a long flat shore.
Where the Chapora river meets the sea at the southern edge of Pernem. The estuary makes it a nesting site for olive ridley turtles and a draw for waders.
Flat sand runs wide at low tide, with the river channel cutting behind it. The crowd is thinner and older than the beaches just south.

Insider Tips
Avoid lights and noise near the turtle nesting area after dark in season.
Low tide opens up a much wider beach — check the tide before visiting.
Currents at the river mouth are stronger than they look; swim away from it.
Come on a weekday if you want the beach genuinely quiet.
Photography Tips
Low tide and late light give the widest, cleanest compositions.
Keep well back from the turtle enclosure and do not use flash near it.
