Aguada's lower fort guarded the Mandovi mouth, then held Goa's political prisoners for decades. The private walk runs about an hour to ninety minutes through the complex. Restricted sections open up, including the chapel, kitchen and cell blocks facing the sea. The route ends on the seaward wall, with the coastline running north from Sinquerim.<br/>
- The jail was the largest in Goa and held freedom fighters convicted under Portuguese rule.
