- Arrive at least 45 minutes before the 6 pm show; seats are unreserved within their category and fill in the order travellers settle in.
- Watch for the resident macaques; they pull off sunglasses, hats and phones with practised ease.
- Wear modest clothing; sarongs and sashes are provided at the gate.
- The amphitheatre benches are stone; a folded sarong helps for the 75-minute performance.
- Photography is permitted, but the closing fire scene generates real flame; keep cameras and children at a safe distance.
- Post-show, the parking lot bottlenecks for over 30 minutes; build in time before any onward dinner booking.
