Bali : Trekking & Hiking
Bali and its neighbouring volcanic peaks provide trekking routes that range from a two-hour pre-dawn climb to a full overnight expedition. Each summit rewards with panoramic views across calderas, crater lakes, and — on clear mornings — the neighbouring islands.
• Mount Batur — The most accessible volcano trek in Bali; a roughly two-hour climb starting around 3:30 a.m. for sunrise. • Mount Ijen — A challenging overnight hike in East Java known for its turquoise crater lake and rare blue sulphur flames. • Mount Agung — Bali's highest peak at 3,031 metres, requiring a guided climb of five to seven hours and a good level of fitness.
