Theater name: Kecak Dance Amphitheater Uluwatu Temple

  • Explore two of Bali’s famous temples—Tanah Lot and Uluwatu on a private tour with an English-speaking guide. Also, enjoy the convenience of seamless hotel transfers.
  • Make your way to the most photographed temple in Bali, Tanah Lot, which stands on a high rock. Listen to your expert English-speaking guide tell you about its fascinating history.
  • Take in the views of Pura Uluwatu perched atop a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean, and opt for a ticket upgrade if you're a group of 6 to 10 people.
  • Witness the fiery display of Balinese culture at the Kecak Fire Dance, where an episode from Ramayana is choreographed with fire and powerful trance chanting.
  • Fun fact: Uluwatu Temple is one of Bali's oldest and most revered sea temples, believed to have been built in the 11th century.

Tips

  • Book the late-afternoon slot to reach Uluwatu in time for the 6 pm Kecak show; earlier slots miss the sunset.
  • Wear closed shoes and modest dress; sarongs are provided but bare shoulders and short hems are turned away at both temples.
  • Watch your belongings at Uluwatu; resident monkeys are known for snatching sunglasses, hats and phones.
  • Carry small Rupiah notes for sarong donations and seat upgrades at the Kecak amphitheatre.
  • The full circuit runs 8–10 hours including transfers; light snacks help, as the dinner stop is post-show.
  • Request a seat in the upper Kecak rows if travelling with elderly guests; the lower rows fill first and have less back support.
