- Arrive by 6 pm for the fire dance and dinner; the tram boarding gate closes once the first ride departs.
- Insect repellent helps during the dinner stage, which is open-air.
- The tram windows are open-grille; carry a light jacket for the cooler stretches.
- Photography is allowed but flash is not; auto-mode flash needs to be turned off manually.
- The buffet is set with both Indonesian and international items; queues are shortest in the first 20 minutes after opening.
- Strollers are not permitted on the night tram; children under three are best carried.
